A Brief History of Keepers Cottage.

We understand that Keepers Cottage was first built in the 1850’s as a dynamite store with the workers of the local Quarry living on top of the store, in 1865 local fisherman bought the cottage and converted it into a small family home . The cottage did not change much till the 1980’s when the third floor was built and in the late 1990’s the whole cottage was renovated to the high standard it is to day.

The Ground Floor
The ground floor is an open plan design consisting of a lounge and dinning area the window seating area has wonderful views across the bay. The sofa in the lounge is also a day bed with another bed underneath creating two singles if required. The door off the lounge leads to the kitchen at the back.

The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, cooker and washing machine plus all the requirements for a family of 6.

The First Floor

The first floor of our cottage has a captain’s bed which can either be a twin bed or single and this overlooks the harbour etc this room is separated by a curtain which leads to a small sitting room which has the stairs to the next floor with a television and games console Ideal for the children to play whilst you are downstairs enjoying the view. At the back of the first floor is the bathroom which has very large shower cubicle and electric shower toilet and wash hand basin

The Master Bedroom

This Bedroom is at the top of the Cottage and has a king size bed has great views to the front and access to the patio at the rear

This fisherman’s cottage is situated in one of the prettiest terraces in Brixham. It has uninterrupted sea views and these have to be seen to be believed!!! The property is on a private terrace accessed by steps from the road below, because the access is quite difficult we do not recommend the cottage for people with walking difficulties. The cottage has a large double glazed Bay Window to take advantage of the fantastic views. It also means that it is a super property for out of season breaks. There is a Patio at the front of the cottage with panoramic views of the marina and bay. .
